San Francisco bay area photography enthusiasts, I've teamed up with pro photographer Matt Granz to teach a series of photo workshops around the bay with an emphasis on evening & night photography. Aimed at beginning to intermediate shooters, we will help you to better understand your camera and get in touch with your creative side as we travel to some of the best locations for nailing the perfect shot.

I am having trouble sharing the facebook link; it just seems to go to the facebook homepage, so here is our mission statement from the page and I will work on getting the issue resolved...

Night Eyes Photo Workshops

Here in the San Francisco Bay Area there are a multitude of eye pleasing things to photograph. At night it becomes even more so. Colors can become more vibrant, shadows more prominent, and movement becomes surreal.

The Night Eyes Photo Workshops offer Night Photography education that supports participants of all levels in a group setting, with hands on individual tutoring.

For those still using the auto mode on their DSLR camera, night photography is one of the best ways to come to understand how f/stops, ISO and shutter times affect an image, and the ways they can be used to get awesome results, instilling confidence in a fun based atmosphere.

The Night Eyes Photo Workshops are committed to excellence in teaching both the technical and creative aspects of night photography creating an atmosphere to help individuals become better photographers.

We'll be sure to have a lot of fun (in an educational way). Can't wait for the workshop!

Well hey everyone, here is Matt Granz! He is one of my local shooting buddies and a heck of a great guy. I hope Matt will drop in periodically to FPZ and become a regular poster.

Welcome Matt. Just as a reminder that I know who you are, here's a shot of you at our Bowling Ball Beach shoot - in IR of course.

Well, he knew and that's why he was a bit cranky. I wanted to capture the true Matt, not sure if I did but I was really going for the 'nice pants' look. Oh baloney, I was just being a bit silly.
