You are correct, Fargo was a line of trucks made by Dodge back in the day.
I'm sure they were sold in the USA, but I can only speak for my fellow Canadians.

(Sadly, I'm old enough to say I have driven a Fargo pickup truck. :~( )

Is that a sewer suckin' truck Stu?
Looks like a brute!

Although I've never driven a Fargo, I could probably find a showroom ready one around here somewhere. So your statement doesn't mean that your old.

That's a Hydrovac Truck, so there's both a vacuum unit and a pressure-washer unit built onto there. Although they have several purposes, our units are mostly used in the oilpatch to wash the ground above some underground pipes (wires, etc) into the vacuum creating a hole which will hopefully expose the pipes. This is usually done before they drill another pipeline, so they don't drill right into another pipe. The whole idea is that hydrovacing won't damage the pipes, other methods of excavating will.
These trucks are Brutes, most of them well over 500hp, and unbelievable amounts of torque. 18 speeds of course. When we're beside most highway trucks we can look through the window right across their sleepers. In BC these tractors are often used as only Off Road logging trucks. They do get stuck, which is part of the job, and when they do it can be tough getting them out. I've heard about one requiring something like 6 pieces of equipment, and it still had to spend the night buried in the field... which we try avoiding during the winter since they'll get frozen in.

...so, if I hear you correctly it can both suck and blow - awesome! :p

It was 1971 that I drove a Fargo pickup.
I think that qualifies me as 'old'. :meh:

I've never been to Fargo, neither the place or the truck.
